You are only as good as your word. Honesty is the best policy. To have a friend, be one. The Laws of Life are the core values that we take with us wherever we go and whatever we do. The Laws of Life Essay Contest challenges young people of all ages to discover for themselves the values that will guide them throughout life.

A national competition for students in grades 3-8, which encourages growth in vocabulary and verbal reasoning. Over 4,200 school teams, from 50 states, participated last year.

 Math Competitions

Utah Council of Mathematic :

Utah's Largest Math Event (ULME) provides an opportunity for Utah teachers and students to join together in meaningful mathematics. The ULME activities are designed to encourage students to work together creatively as they solve rich and challenging problems.

Math League has Math Contests for Grades 4 through 8, High School Students, and Algebra 1 students. Over 1 million students from the United States and Canada participate in Math League Contests each year. Every contest has questions from different areas of mathematics. The goal is to encourage student interest and confidence in mathematics through solving worthwhile problems. Many students first develop an interest in mathematics through problem-solving activities such as these contests. Schools compete in statewide or multi state league competitions.

All ages of Sudoku genius: check this out! A recently initiated competition housed in Philadelphia, all ages of play are invited to test their Sudoku skills. There are winners in a large variety of categories and top winners can earn monetary awards.

Math and art are combined in this artistic competition that allows students to creatively build a colorful tessellations and submit it for review.

Amazing Kids is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to helping kids realize their amazing potential. From "Amazing Kids of the Month," to linking students with mentors, contests, this program supports the unique talents of children and aspires to build on their talents.

This competition is looking for students 8-18 who have made a significant positive difference in the world.

Middle school students are challenged to work in teams of three to four, with an adult coach, to identify a problem in their community and apply the scientific method to create an innovative solution to that problem.

Social Studies Competitions

Presents middle and high school Students the challenge to produce web projects that teach others about the importance of international affairs and diplomacy.

If you excel in geographic knowledge and you're in grades 4-8 this competition would interest you. Specifically created to encourgage teachers to spark more interest in geography, this competition creates public awareness about geography.

Individuals or groups from grades 6-12 are invited to participate in the discovery and interperetation of historical topics related to an annoual theme. Each state has specific requirements an dwinners advance to national levels.
