Ideas for Technology Projects - See appropriate Grade Level Resources for project ideas that match the core.

  • Use Inspiration
    • Create an Inspiration Organizer for students to use during a lecture or while reading or gathering information.
      • Look through the templates found in Inspiration.
      • Use organizers created by others. A collection of graphic organizers.
      • Create your own.
    • Use Inspiration to create an organizer for student research. Create a link from the organizer to a specific web page. Sample Inspiration files:
    • Have students use Inspiration to create a story map or timeline of a specific time period or event.
    • Have students use Inspiration to create a web showing information gathered and organized in topics and subtopics. Use the outline feature to create an outline for a final report or other project.
  • Use a multimedia presentation (PowerPoint, HyperStudio, AppleWorks, mPower)
  • Have students create projects from the AppleWorks templates. Projects include poster, brochure, timeline, postcard, trading cards, etc.
  • Create your own template for students to complete.
    • Sample templates for Elementary students (created in AppleWorks and KidPix.) These templates can be downloaded.
  • Have students create projects from Microsoft Office's project gallery. Appropriate student projects include: Newsletter, Brochure, Reports, Web Pages, or Journals.
  • Find or create an online activity such as a WebQuest.
    • Have students complete an existing webquest as part of a unit.
    • Create your own WebQuest that matches your core
  • Use UEN's Projects and Tools to create an online internet project.
  • Create task cards for students to complete as they visit Internet sites.
  • Have students create their own web page.
  • Have students maintain an electronic portfolio.
