How to Turn a KidPix Picture into a Template
  1. Design the worksheet in KidPix Studio. Save the picture.
  2. Quit the KidPix Studio Program.
  3. Click one time on the icon for the picture created in KidPix (From Step 1). (The picture will be highlighted.)

Click one time on the picture icon.

The picture will then be highlighted (selected). Clicking twice will open the picture. The picture cannot be changed to a template if KidPix Studio opens.

  4. From the Edit Menu, select Get Info. The Information Screen will appear.

From the Information Screen click on the Stationery Pad option.

If a KidPix picture has been turned into a Stationery Pad, each time it is opened, a copy of the picture will be created, thus keeping the original picture intact!

You can also click on the Locked button found on the screen. If you click on the Locked button, a copy of the original picture will NOT be created when a student opens the picture. Instead, the students will not be able to save the picture unless they give it a new name. This will avoid the problem of creating several copies of the same document; however, if the student accidentally saves without changing the original name, their work will be lost!
