ITC (Integrating Technology and Curriculum) for Teachers

 

The Integrating Technology & Curriculum workshop is a three-day, hands-on workshop designed to help classroom teachers understand how to effectively integrate technology into their curriculum and classroom.

The workshop focuses on the core curriculum and how to effectively incorporate technology into classroom instruction. The technology focus is on video (instructional television, traditional video, and video streaming), the Internet (Pioneer Library, UEN Resources, and MarcoPolo) and multimedia (Microsoft PowerPoint or SURWEB).

Classes are taught by trainers from USOE, UEN, and Jordan School District Technology Curriculum Specialists.

Participants in the ITC Workshops receive the following benefits:

  • If they are off-track, they will receive a stipend of $50 per day or a total of $150.
  • If they are on-track, their substitute will be paid for.
  • 21 hours relicensure points.

The expectations for the participating teachers are:

  • Register as a UEN educator.
  • Stay for all e days of the workshop and participate in workshop activities.
  • Submit assignments as requested by the UEN instructors.
  • Confer with their Area Curriculum Technology Specialist as they develop a project or activity which demonstrates the integration of technology into their curriculum based on materials presented during the ITC Workshop.
