Entry Guidelines and Rules:
We encourage schools to hold their own film festivals to determine the
entries sent from their school. All entries must be submitted on a CD or DVD in a Quicktime format. All entries must be
accompanied by an entry
form and student release forms. We have to have student releases to be able
to put the films on the web site and all of the submitted films this
year will be on the website.
1. Films are to be created entirely by students. That means written, filmed, and edited completely by students.
2. Students must collaborate with at least one or more students to create their films.
3. Your school may enter up to 5 films, however no more than two of
those films can be entered in the same category.
4. COPYRIGHT: Copyright laws must be observed. Any commercial/copyrighted music,
images, or video used in any film will automatically eliminate that
film from award consideration. Any media that is not created by the
students should be cited in the film's credits.
5. Films need to be submitted on CD or DVD in a QuickTime format at the highest quality possible.
6. Awards will be given for the "best" film in each category at the Film Festival to be held at the JSD ASB. Awards will not be announced prior to the awards ceremony.
7. For additional information you can contact Margo Shirley or Bonnie Muir.
