1. Select
the Text tool.
2. Click
and drag to create a text box and type your text inside the box.
3. Click
outside the text box to see black "handles" around your box.
4. Go to
the Format menu to change the font, size, style, and alignment.
5. If
the text box has already been created, double click inside the text box
and highlight existing words. Type in your own words.
Special Notes:
- When adding text
boxes to the brochure or newspaper, you must hold the option
key down as you create the box.
- Use the "justify"
alignment to create a realistic newspaper look.
- The text boxes
on some pages of the minibook and vocabulary cards are
upside down. The text will automatically flip the correct direction
when you double click within it. Once you have typed your text, the
box flips upside down again.
- The text boxes
on some templates have been locked to prevent movement. To unlock or
lock text boxes, select the text box and go to the Arrange menu
for options.
- To delete a text
box, click on it so the handles appear and click delete on your keyboard.
(Locked boxes cannot be deleted.)
- To change individual
words or phrases within a text box, select those words or phrases. Go
to the Text menu to change the font, size, style, and alignment.
- Text boxes will
grow in length as you type, but you must designate the width.
